When asked about former President Donald Trump’s possible visit to the US-Mexico border on Sunday, President Joe Biden was dismissive.
As he returned to the White House after spending the weekend in Delaware, Biden was asked this question by a reporter.
“We are putting in place a strategy that I am very confident in,” Biden said.
“And I don’t care what the other guy does,” the president said.
During a Fox News interview on Saturday, Trump expressed interest in visiting the border.
Trump said, “Thousands and thousands of people are coming up right now as we speak.” “And you’ll be bringing millions of people into our country.”
Vice President Kamala Harris was recently named by Biden to head the effort to deal with the border crisis, but the administration has failed to get a handle on it so far.
When asked, neither Biden nor Harris have made a firm commitment to visit the border. Despite record numbers of migrants from Mexico, Central America, and South America heading north toward the United States, this is the case.
