Yesterday President Trump really kicked up a real storm when he was asked about the COVID vaccine.
Does he recommend it?
Does he think everyone should get it?
Here’s what he said:
I still support President Trump 100%, but I immediately pointed out how different this was from what he said in 2012:
And from what he said in 2014:
And even from what he said to Dr. Ben Carson during the debates.
Remember this?
From Vox:
Republican presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Ben Carson dived into the question of whether vaccines cause autism in the Republican debate Republican debate Wednesday night.
Carson, a pediatric neurosurgeon, pointed out (correctly) that researchers have throughly discredited the notion.
Trump, meanwhile, persisted with his own version of the science. “You take this little beautiful baby,” he said, “and you pump — I mean, it looks just like it is meant for a horse, not for a child, and we had so many instances, people that work for me, just the other day, 2 years old, beautiful child went to have the vaccine and came back and a week later got a tremendous fever, got very, very sick, now is autistic.”The claim that vaccine cause autism rose to popularity in 1998, when an esteemed medical journal published a paper with the now infamous conclusion: that the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine — administered to millions of children across the globe each year — could cause autism.
Then I reported on these interesting stats:
Which led me to ask my own question….
Will YOU get the vaccine?
I promised to report the results tonight….so here you are!
With nearly 6,000 people voting, here’s what you told me:
That is a strong “no” but still 7.8% saying yes.
I also found some of the “Other” answers interesting.
Like this:
And this one made me laugh….
So she’s saying her husband refuses to get it for himself but he wants the wife to get it!
UH-OH!!!!!
A lot of you said you’d consider the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, but not any of the others:
If you haven’t added your vote yet, it’s not too late….
